The Purpose and Advantages and Disadvantages of The Globe Valve
The main purpose of the shut-off valve such as DIN angle type Globe Valve is to shut off, but also to roughly adjust the flow, but not as a throttle. The shut-off valve is widely used in power plants, especially in smaller passages. When a good shut-off seal is required, this type of valve is often used.
(1) Advantages:
The structure is simple, the sealing is good, and the manufacturing and maintenance are convenient.
(2) Disadvantages:
The fluid resistance is large, the opening and closing forces are large, and the speed increases as the cross-sectional area of the passage increases. Therefore, it is difficult to make a shut-off valve with a large cross-sectional area and a very reliable passage.
